There is a lot of debate on the reforms suggested by the civil services reforms task force. It is accompanied by a number of rumors in the chain. Though the final draft is not out yet for the cabinet debate, some of the provisions of the reforms agenda suggest four stages of exam and placement in four groups broadly.
The proposed reforms don’t exclude any occupational groups from taking such an exam generally. However, preferences are expected for some of the groups. Still, it is a basic right of any Pakistani to pursue any career and hence no one be deprived of such a basic right. As far as the implementation of such reforms for 2020 is concerned, so that is not going to happen at least for the coming year. The draft is yet to be finalized and presented for debate in cabinet/assembly after that there will be the pattern, syllabi and other requirements to be decided and tasked to the concerned institutions like FPSC.
So keep on preparing for 2020 with the existing syllabus in mind and don’t get puzzled by rumors.
Should there be any other updates, I will share inshallah Good luck!
